Hey man,
I recently came across Mundialito, and I’m really impressed by its concept and gameplay. I wanted to ask a couple of questions to better understand the inspiration and vision behind the game:
What inspired you to create Mundialito? Was there a specific passion for sports or a unique idea that led to its development?
Are there any aspects or features of Mundialito that you’re particularly proud of? What do you think makes it stand out in the sports simulation genre?
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this. I’d love to hear more about your creative process and the journey behind the game!
Best regards,
Jamiu
Hi Jamiu13
I'm really happy to know that you liked my game. In fact there is a story behind Mundialito...a story that goes back a long time. I was a child when Exciting soccer appeared in arcades... I don't count the hours spent on CRTs and the tokens spent. In his simplicity he managed to completely involve me. In the 90s, in the wake of Sensible and Kick off, I tried to create a soccer game but in vain. Now, 30 years later, I tried to recreate the spirit of that game that had impressed me so much... and starting from that, Mundialito was born. By abandoning the frenetic game that characterizes the "sacred monsters" on the Amiga and leaving more space for the arcade part than for the managerial one, I believe I have obtained a product that stands out from others. I would have liked to implement something else like the 1 on 1 challenge, or headers or something else but the program is written entirely in Amos and I had to find a balance with the playability... maybe in the future I could create a Mundialito 2?
In the meantime, thank you for your appreciation
That's so interesting! Your time and effort really shine through in the great outcome,
What would you say are your main goals for the game—such as growing a player base, increasing engagement, or generating revenue? Have you encountered any challenges in reaching those goals so far?
In reality I achieved my greatest goal... I created "my" soccer game, I published it and now I'm here talking about it with people... it's a satisfaction that has no equal... and no, i'm not interested in collaborate.
That's awesome, I'm glad to hear that you've achieved your goal.
Wish you more success ahead.
